Mon 26th April, 2021

Wilsons Advisory is pleased to have acted as Joint Lead Manager to the recent placement to wholesale investors by the MCP Master Income Trust (ASX.MXT; “MXT” or the “Trust”) to raise approximately $191.8 million (the “Placement”).

MXT is managed by Metrics Credit Partners (“Metrics”), an alternative asset management firm specialising in direct lending to Australian companies and an active participant in the Australian private credit market, with assets under management of approximately A$7 billion.

Metrics' Managing Partner, Andrew Lockhart commented that the proceeds raised “will allow us to continue to provide a valuable source of non-bank finance to Australian companies. This placement is expected to deliver enhanced outcomes for investors via greater portfolio diversification, enhanced returns and lead to further cost reductions over time. We thank our investors for their continued investment in our various funds" (ASX Announcement, dated 22 April 2021).

Wilsons Advisory is pleased to offer access to such a high calibre investment opportunity to its wholesale clients. Richard Sherman, Head of Corporate Finance Origination at Wilsons Advisory said “At Wilsons Advisory we are motivated to deliver enhanced financial outcomes for our clients. We have maintained a close relationship with Metrics since acting as Joint Lead Manager to the MXT IPO in October 2017, and are pleased to have partnered with Metrics on another successful transaction as it continues to deliver on its stated investment strategy.”

Note: all services provided by Wilsons Advisory in relation to the Placement were provided to wholesale investors only. Any recommendations were made in the best interests of the individual client and were appropriate to the client’s personal circumstances.
