Head of Investment Strategy
David joined Wilsons in 2020 as Head of Investment Strategy having spent more than 25 years as one of Australia’s leading investment strategists. He is responsible for overseeing the development of Wilsons' global and domestic investment strategy, including asset allocation strategy, equity portfolio strategy and the selection of external fund managers across all asset classes to guide our model portfolios.
David has extensive experience in analysing financial markets from a top down and bottom up perspective to formulate a considered investment strategy. Ultimately, this analysis of markets manifests in Wilsons' asset allocation view for our clients based on their risk appetite.
Prior to joining Wilsons, David was a Managing Director and Head of investment Strategy at UBS Australia Investment Banking where he provided research and advice on equity strategy, asset allocation strategy, portfolio construction and portfolio risk management. He also worked at JP Morgan Australia (formerly Ord Minnett) for 13 years in various roles, including Head of Investment Strategy.
He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) and a Master of Business.
